We  humans have gotten ourselves into just a fine mess.  We thought that by just going after or developing more technology, more ‘smart’ systems, that our lives were going to be better or easier. We assumed, we even naively thought that things would get faster and more lucrative, even better. We deluded ourselves into thinking things that were simply untrue.  Now we have come to realize how very wrong we were. Very wrong.

As it turns out now, after not that long after creating Artificial Intelligence, we come to find AI is likely to be the biggest, the most insidious existential threat to humans that ever was or will be.  Isn’t it great to know that we did this to ourselves? We have created a monster, the likes of which has never been seen by man ever before. Not the smartest thing we have ever done, surely.  

We could have taken a more reserved, a more careful and controlled approach with this technology than we did, but we didn’t.  We are the ones who are let loose this run-away freight train. We coud have been more reserved, more controlling but we didn’t. We let greed and stupidity get the better of us in allowing such dangers to go uncontrolled and unregulated. We should have been more careful, but we weren’t.

Aside from the frontal attacks which AI poses to man, using AI to control us, dominate us, and in some instances even kill us, the situation is getting close to getting our of hand. There are people and forces in the world who look at AI as the great ‘regulator’ and controller of humans. These criminals want to monitor every aspect of your life, The food you eat, the air you breath, even that dreaded “carbon footprint”,  because they have given themselves the right to do so. “…its all in the best interest of humanity don’t you know”… Lie after lie to make people believe that somebody, somewhere, gets to make those determinations over us. Its sick.

But besides the frontal attack which these people pose, there is the soft degradation of man and his morals. AI is turning out to be softly attacking us on the basis of our moral. Whether you realize it or not, AI is and has come to make liars of us all. It’s a slick device to make you a liar. AI wants you to represent that YOU have done the work, put the effort into something which  you have not. People use AI as a cheat, a deception that something is of their creation, when its not.

If you want people to believe that is was your skills in getting the job done, use AI. If you want to use some artwork that you want people to believe in or think how creative you are, us AI.  If you want to cut weeks and months off of your Masters or Doctoral thesis, use AI. If you want people to believe that you are such a financial genius in trading or accumulating wealth, use AI.  The lies and lies just keep piling up. People who use AI are becoming patented liars. After a time, they won’t even admit that they’re lying. But the only people they are fooling, is themselves. And while the use of AI is likely a lie, who cares right?  Nobody will know what you’re doing, will they? You can go on with your busy life to make your lies, your deceptions stick. I mean really, who cares?

And while you think that there are no consequences to your actions, your dishonesty, the reality is that you are truly diminished as a liar both ethically and practically. Then is also the consequences of your diminishing mental acuity.  Interesting how there are more and more studies which are coming out which show that using AI over any length of time will reduce your cognitive skills and analytical abilities over time. So you in effect, you get to be dumber and less capable mentally then you were before. Sure, use AI to your own peril and get dumber. It is just what you want, right?

One good example of the dishonesty and moral corruption comes by way of a new app, a new AI App, which will take two images, say one of girl and one of boy, and generates a video which will show that the two are embraced, hugging even, to make people believe that these two people know each other well or intimately.  So if a lad wants to make his friends think that he has a new love-life and has a new person in his life, all he needs for this App is a picture of some gal. Some short time later, the App will generate a video of the two hugging, embracing intimately, which is all created and fake: a lie.  One or the other of these people may not have any knowledge or this, but hey…”its all in good fun”.  A total lie and deception of course, but who cares? Someone is clearly using the system to lie to their friends or relatives. But its ok, right? Its just fun.

I wish that I could tell you that none of this matters, but it does. The smallest lie can turn into the biggest deception easily, in a short time. If we are ever to grow up as a species, people have to be able to stand on the truth.  Its said that there are no small lies, just small people. Once we come to realize that AI stands for an “abducted imitation”, we will grow and become better ourselves. Man does not need AI. Not until we bolt down the loose ends of AI and oversee total control of its systems, we risk many things concerning our dignity, our freedom and our safety.  

One last point that I would like to make here.  In the Grimms fairytale of Hansel and Gretel, the two children who came upon the witch’s house in the forest, found that all of the candy and cake on the house was FREE. Oh yes folks, it was free. But what was really the witch’s intention towards them?  Did they first realize what they were in for? Similarly, there is “free” AI systems popping up all over the place on the net.  It is hard to keep up with how many free offerings that there are. But do keep in mind:  With AI, YOU are the product.  Of course they’re going to offer everything free to get you hooked.  It’s a tactic that drug dealers use all the time. First you get the person hooked, then make them pay dearly for everything thereafter. These AI companies are getting ready, once you’re hooked, to offer you a boatload of services yet to come. You didn’t really think that there is no kind of hidden motive to getting you hooked, did you? People will come to soon find out that the price for AI is more than your honesty or your soul.  Soon enough you will find out the truth. Its best not to risk the consequences. Do not use AI for anything, period. You will be safer and smarter.

And if I tell the truth, why do you not believe Me? …( Weird they used the word “resources”.  Sounds like its referring to AI.)
